About the Program

The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme is a comprehensive 5 years and 6 months (4.5 Academic Years + 01 Year Rotatory Internship) undergraduate professional journey designed to develop competent Ayurvedic physicians grounded in classical wisdom and modern clinical practice. The program integrates ancient Ayurvedic principles with contemporary medical sciences to promote holistic healing, preventive healthcare, and sustainable well being.

Eligibility & Fee Details

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the case of the General category, and 40% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). The candidate must also have qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Admission Procedure

Admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme is conducted through the Uttar Pradesh AYUSH Undergraduate Counselling Board, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The admission process is based on eligibility criteria prescribed by the competent authority and is carried out through centralized online counselling. Seats are allotted to eligible candidates according to their merit, choice filling, and availability of seats, in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
